Hello, I'm just getting into DayZ (Arma 2 OA) and looking for a budget-friendly setup under $1400 that runs smoothly around 60 FPS. Could anyone suggest a good computer configuration? Also, how important is RAM for performance—should I go with 16GB or 8GB? Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I see you're joining the forums. Could you let me know your location? That will assist with budgeting. In short, 8GB works well for gaming, and 16GB is a solid choice if you have room in your budget.

I couldn’t function without more than 16GB of storage. I usually consume around 10GB even when no games are active (big tab hog). Anyway, back to the main point – we need a suitable location, resolution, and settings to achieve the best performance.

Play at highest quality with a 1080x2* aspect ratio, making it simple to see details and ensuring textures are set to a high standard.

Getting the final digits would be useful. We also require the country for currency adjustments, etc.
