Yes, it's possible to use these models together. Check compatibility with your Tyzen 5950x in 3D Max to ensure they work well.

These options work well. I usually suggest the B550 tomahawk.

Those boards would be suitable, though I’d exclude the X570-P and B550M Aorus Elite because their VRMs aren’t ideal for running a 5950X (though it might still work). I’m only using them for specific reasons—other options are available at lower prices with comparable performance. There’s a wide range of choices in price, so if they match, go for the Creator; otherwise, there are definitely better alternatives worth exploring.

You can search for online tests using that CPU and these boards in 3D Max or similar tools. Try looking for community projects, forums, or tutorials that mention those components.

I own a Ryzen 5950x with GIGABYTE B550M AORUS ELITE rev. 1.1. All tests were done in Prime95, Cinebench 23, and OCCT temperature stayed near 75°C. However, running 3DMax or Blender 3.3 LTS causes the PC to crash or lose picture display. I need to connect power supply 1/0 to start the system properly.

Typically, this indicates you're activating OCP on the power supply unit. Could you clarify which PSU model you're referring to and share the remaining system specifications?

We test three distinct power supplies of 450/550/750W, two different motherboards—GIGABYTE B550M AORUS ELITE rev. 1.1, MSI B450M GAMING PLUS—and KINGSTON 32GB and a few others, including some with 16GB RAM. We use the same CPU class for all trials. The model that worked best was the G3200G across both motherboards. We also tried two different SSD Kingston units with various systems: W11, W10 and W10, plus three different VGA graphics cards.

Based on the GPU model, you might exceed 750 watts during startup. This could also account for its compatibility with the 3200G, which consumes less power.

I revved up a 5900X on a Strix-F for over a year. It handled the 5150 easily, and under heavy Linpack it stayed at 4500. The 5950 should be fine too.
