Hello, I’m a gamer seeking help to set up a dedicated PC for day trading. My primary tool is MetaTrader 5 (MT5), and I need guidance on whether single-core or multi-core performance matters more, or what hardware specs are ideal. Right now, I’m thinking about an AMD 7700 or 9700X with 32GB RAM. If I rely on integrated graphics, can it handle two 4K monitors—one at 160Hz and another at 60Hz? Or would an Intel 14600 be a better option? Should I hold off until the new releases this summer? Appreciate advice from PC experts!

It seems this might not be relevant, as the link points to MetaTrader 5 terminal instructions.

No automated margin trading is needed. You can manage it effectively with the Dell Optiplex + GT 730 setup.

It seems performance hinges mainly on how well your internet connection works. The main hurdle would likely be the speed of your current service. You probably won’t see much improvement just by tweaking your PC settings. A dedicated network card might help if your provider is already fast.

I’m running a 7840HS laptop with eight cores for trading. CPU usage stays under 10%, reaching up to 20% occasionally. When lots of indicators appear or I switch charts, I notice a slight 1-2 second lag that bothers me.

Determine if the issue lies with local hardware or delays from the internet connection.

think there might be a slight delay? without any indicators it seems like the issue could be with the chart itself rather than the indicator. if the 9700x isn’t much quicker than the 7840hs, it might just be a bug. i’m not sure about overclocking unless you have an external display or a monitor that’s clear. i can open multiple charts on my X230 and they work fine, though space is tight. maybe try TradingView instead or use older MT4 if it still lags. if the problem persists, check your internet connection first—wired might help more than wireless.

Unless you're willing to pay top dollar for it, you won't notice this. The lag is consistent across the majority of exchanges.

Thanks for your response. I hope your trades go well. It looks like today’s gain is $51 (after 1.5 hours of work).
