I purchased my PC from Maplin approximately two years ago, and it is exhibiting significant performance issues and frequent malfunctions. However, based on the specifications below, I question whether upgrading components such as the processor is necessary.
Specifications:
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 7400 @ 3.00GHz – Kaby Lake 14nm Technology
RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel – Unknown @ 1066MHz (13-15-15-28)
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. H110M-R (LGA1151)
Graphics: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (NVIDIA)
Storage: 111GB KINGSTON SUV400S37120G (SATA-2 (SSD)) – 931GB Seagate ST1000DM010-2EP102 (SATA)
Audio: NVIDIA High Definition Audio
My computer's startup takes approximately 10 minutes, and VR games experience severe lagging despite my PC being VR-ready.
It was purchased new, not used, and I have reset it numerous times. Currently, I am defragging it to assess if that improves performance.
use glary utilities and post a picture of the software start up page when windows load
