Hello, ... I'm curious about finding a highly secure method to lock or encrypt a folder that holds your photos, videos, notes, contacts, and more using a password.

Everything can be placed inside an encrypted rar or zip archive. The folder structure isn't necessary.

Are you concerned about sharing explicit content online?

I simply dropped it into a WinRAR directory and soon the password slipped away, keeping me up all night. Wow, Folder1321, what mysteries are hiding there!

You might consider using Truecrypt, though it creates a file of any size and forms a virtual drive. Also, 100 posts

VHDs can function like folders, and BitLocker provides encryption support.

Transfer the data to a USB drive and throw it away. No one will locate it unless you encounter Tyron in prison. (Though a secure, well-guarded backup on an external device is likely the safest option)

TrueCrypt disappeared for unknown reasons. http://truecrypt.sourceforge.net/ NSA much? 7zip and WinRar both include a password option. I favor 7zip because it supports more file types as an added benefit.
