Hello. In short, my second Samsung screen (SA350) is stuck at 1024x768 resolution. It works in Windows and BIOS, but not in a fresh install. I tried Ubuntu without success. I experimented with a cheap Dell monitor for a week before discarding it. Then I used a 27" Philips as my main display and kept the Samsung as an extension. It functioned well for a few months. Later, I upgraded to a graphics card for my brother and tested it on my PC before handing it over. When I returned, the Samsung stopped working properly again—resolution remains at 1024x768 even in BIOS. The HDMI and DVI ports connect fine, but the VGA port shows full HD. My device manager lists it as a generic non-PNP monitor. I’m unsure what to do since this persists across different OS setups. Could the HDMI output be damaged? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Asus z170M-plus i7 6700k 16GB RAM Asus GTX1070 Windows 10 Pro

Sure. There are three different cables available. The one I used with my first monitor is functioning properly, although it has also failed before.

Did you actually discard the old Dell screen or are you just disposing of it for sale?

I mentioned that it doesn't function properly even after a new Windows setup.

The image quality was quite poor. I require a monitor for my references; this one was a poor selection.

Was das eines der ursprünglichen 1280x1024-Bilder? Du solltest wahrscheinlich versuchen, die Videokarten zu aktualisieren. Die Windows-Karten unterstützen keine sehr hohen Auflösungen.
