I typically achieve around 115 frames per second on Diablo 3 at the highest settings, especially at 1440p. (It shouldn’t be too much of a problem running smoothly on lower settings, like 1080p on a mid-range laptop.) Torchlight II performs similarly, reaching about 130 FPS at the same resolution. Performance-wise, they’re quite comparable, though Torchlight seems a bit more manageable. I’m not entirely confident about handling intense action sequences since I rarely focus on FPS during gameplay.
Sure, if she has an interest in Diablo, I might recommend Torchlight instead.
If you're good at playing Minecraft, you're likely to enjoy Left 4 Dead and possibly Left 4 Dead 2. All three are really enjoyable team-based survival games.
Breaking news: I chose to test if I could play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, since it's clearly the top version of CoD and seems to run smoothly.
It looks like my laptop has been overestimating its capabilities. If it handles MW3 well, I bet it can handle Left 4 Dead as easily.
Maybe not your usual preference, but older titles like Age of Empires and similar are quite low on hardware needs and offer fast multiplayer. I’m currently enjoying Dark Souls 3 with my own device, though coordinating summoning can be a bit tricky. Elder Scrolls Online seems to work well too—we tried it on a MacBook without a GPU, and it’s likely affordable on PC. However, it might be too hard to start over if someone has already saved their progress on the console.
I don't know what to do, so I just threw you something I play with my girlfriend right now and see if you can try one out.
We mostly play ESO/League of Legends (70% or more), though you can try TFT in League of Legends if you prefer.
Rainbow Six Siege is also on the list, but not often.
Warfame works fine, it's okay.
Overwatch is there, Path of Exile was played for a month before they updated, and Battlerite is also on the roster.
