Searching for an engaging MMORPG experience.
I've tested most options and WoW remains the top choice. People often criticize the game, even me, but you don't fully grasp its strengths until you step back. I enjoy Blade and Soul – they're solid, though not quite matching WoW. The new updates have sparked my interest again. I'm not drawn to the story unless it really engages me. The combat is action-oriented RPG style, but it still falls short of WoW's quality. You're always aware of what comes next, which is refreshing. If you've played WoW's version, you've likely covered all its features – which makes it feel familiar. That can reduce enjoyment if you're not challenged. I prefer PVP for its replay value and haven't found another MMO that matches WoW's balance and satisfaction in competitive play. SOTR has stiff combat, making it feel like Morrowind or something similar. If SWTOR had smoother mechanics, it might resonate more with me. I value free access to WoW because of the gold purchases, and I prefer a subscription model that avoids constant microtransactions and pay-to-play structures.
SWTORs combat feels decent at most, though it’s mostly average. The story helps balance that, which is a plus for me. The real issue goes beyond just the mechanics—some abilities just don’t feel strong or impactful.
