I have a cable from my router passing through a wall to my PC for a 2.5GBit connection. I want to add more devices by using a switch on my PC side, but I only have an old 1GBit model. I need something affordable that still provides full 2.5GBit at my PC and supports additional low-speed connections (up to 1GBit). Finding 10GBit switches is expensive, and adding another cable isn’t an option. /edit: As a German user, let me know if you need further help.

It seems you're asking about using a second cable for a basic gig switch. The product you mentioned is likely a 2.5GbE TEG switch, and yes, it can support additional cables for expansion.

I wasn't expecting a more affordable choice. A three-port switch would suffice, or perhaps one offering dual ports at 2.5GBit if available. Since my computer is the sole device in the house with that capability, it seems like a better option.

Yes, there are connections offering speeds exceeding 1 gigabit per second.

The concept focuses on direct PC-to-PC links, ideal for maximum speed. The main limitation comes from the existing switch, which costs about $120.

Sure thing. Downloading online content and transferring files to your NAS is pretty common. It's surprising how much more costly anything over 1GB becomes.

He said his only 2.5 device is his pc. With only a single endpoint device being 2.5, he will get zero benefit by having a 2.5g switch.

I need to link several devices together—like the internet, NAS, phone, and laptop—at once. My connection is only 1GBit. Downloading at high speeds leaves no space for others.

Switches don't provide a single 1Gbit connection for all ports. They can deliver 1Gbit to each port individually. The main constraint is your internet speed. To receive 1Gbit to both your PC and phone simultaneously during downloads, you require a 2Gbit connection, not just a 2.5G switch.
