It was steamcornmunity.com in the chat, the names looked similar. It might have tricked anyone. But he managed to reclaim his belongings.
That's noticeable... it resembles the counterfeit version of Half-Life 3 found at http://store.stearnpowered.com/app/246720/, which now just sends you to a different page.
I realize now that I made a huge mistake by trading without fully understanding what I had. This was my first trade ever, and I was completely unaware of the risks involved. The player I was dealing with tried to take advantage of me by swapping my knife for something else. I lost it all because I didn’t save any chat records after leaving Steam in anger. I’ll share some screenshots to prove what happened. Unfortunately, I lost proof of our conversation since I quit Steam out of frustration. Here’s a photo of the trade start I made: [link]. After some chatting, he sent me an offer and asked me to accept. I thought he meant accepting my offer, so I did. But soon I noticed he had replaced my M4a4 with another weapon. I asked him to return my knife, but he refused and offered another trade instead. He eventually gave back his gun and returned my weapons. At first I was relieved, but later I saw the knife wasn’t included. It seems he kept both the gun and my stolen item. If you need my Steam account or want to recover my knife, please reach out via Steam or email. By the way, the trade took place on August 12, 2014 at around 6:30 PTS. My Steam username is ***********. Thank you for your attention, and have a great day.
