Hey everyone. I tried to exchange my knife with someone, but they ended up taking it. I filed a complaint with them using the details I have, but I’m wondering if there’s any real chance I can reclaim it. I do have proof they cheated me, and Valve could review the chat and trade history. If I really want to get my knife back, I’d need to contact someone who handles returns or disputes—maybe a support team or a third-party service.

I investigated it, and several individuals recovered from fraudulent schemes. Unfortunately, this situation is quite rare.

He managed the deception by ensuring both parties were prepared, and any changes to the deal would instantly cancel it.

How do people trick someone into giving them a knife? It doesn’t always require both sides to agree on a deal.

A friend received a faulty trade link from a Russian trader that forced him to enter his account. The attacker then took control of the account and stole personal items such as knives, guns, and gifts. Volvo managed to recover some of the stolen goods. However, in your situation, it seems they won't return your belongings.

I’m certain you won’t receive it back. Steam help is quite basic—especially regarding scams online, as you need to click three times to confirm, and it’s your responsibility if you didn’t double-check.
