I really believe it will be a strong CPU with improved performance metrics compared to earlier models.

I am running a Ryzen 7 3700X until it eventually meets its maker. No reason to upgrade since my PC does what I want it to do for now. I'm sure Zen 3 will be a great option for those upgrading from older (pre 2016 PCs maybe) platforms but for anyone on Zen 2, there's no reason to really upgrade unless you like shredding cash as a hobby. In that case, be my guest!

I’m thinking about getting the 5800X for my setup. It would let me use my 3600 without conflict. With my brother adding the 2600 (which is already there) and my dad purchasing the 3600 (he’s having trouble with a 2200G), it should cost just around $30 to upgrade.

From Zen 2 perspective, it could offer some improvement, though it doesn’t seem necessary for me. For those on Zen 1, it’s a solid upgrade. For Zen 2 owners, it’s just a nice feature if you can afford it.
