It depends on how much performance improvement you need. I might not upgrade my CPU for the next two generations anytime soon. Right now, DDR5 is still developing, so I’d probably stick with a 3900X if possible. If I do get a CPU, maybe an 8-core one, I could consider selling the 3900X.

I purchased my CPU a year ago. Since I don’t have much money, I think I’m smarter than the money. I hope my Zen 2 CPU lasts me at least five years.

Great! I’m sure you’ll proceed since your old hard drive is the issue. You’ve got a 2.6 GHz processor, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, and a Wi-Fi card—no GPU needed.
