I intend to use this machine for production tasks. Otherwise, I would have definitely chosen the 7700x as you suggested. It seems I've been left behind by the latest advancements. I'm considering upgrading to 32GB of RAM. It might be worth checking if Dual Channel remains beneficial or if single-channel DDR5 now offers sufficient performance without dual channel.

Dual channel offers the best performance. It’s built to handle simultaneous access from the start. A 2x16 setup works, but DDR5 controllers remain unreliable with four sticks at this stage. Around 6000MHz is ideal for Ryzen processors.

It’s okay to try a 5600MHz setup and overclock it, but make sure it fits your system’s requirements.
