Ryzen 7 3800X supports RAM up to 3200 MHz
In short, the boards @Firewrath9 suggested varied by cost, stock, and brand choice. I noticed Gigabyte produced several solid X570 models this time. From what I understand, CAD tools require as many cores or RAM capacity as you allocate, so I might have opted for a more budget-friendly 3700X instead of 3800X, or chosen the 3900X-3950X lineup. The 3800X seems unnecessary.
I considered that too. The base clock plays a big role in software such as ArchiCAD and Revit. They rely heavily on core performance but not much on timing. I've tried with xeon gold, core i9-9900K, core i7 8th gen, and Ryzen 5 3600X. The outcomes are quite similar here. That's why I'm leaning toward the Ryzen 7 3800X with a solid base clock and good multithreading. The price gap isn't an issue since my budget can handle it.
Why not 3900/3950X then? Or even wait for a new Threadripper?)
I'm unable to find any available listings for 3900X or 3950X within the next three days in Japan. The only constraint is time, and I don’t have much left. I hope I can secure those items soon.
