Still, I prefer not to spend $1800 on a CPU.

Expecting updates on benchmarks. I've ordered an RTX3080, aiming for delivery around December 1st. I'm thinking a complete overhaul with top-tier specs, mainly for gaming. The 5900X sounds appealing, but I'm cautious—performance gains won't justify the cost if they're minimal. Since I don't do video editing anymore, gaming performance is my priority.

You're aiming for the 5800X and wondering about the challenge of the 30 series fiasco. It should be manageable, but you're being cautious—no risks here.
