I've owned a 5960X for more than a year, but it's definitely not a Ryzen. The 59-50X seems to be a better fit.

My Ryzen 7 2700x works fine for everything I need right now. I’ll wait before upgrading unless it becomes necessary. Perhaps I’ll wait for the 3000 models to become more affordable due to the 5000 lineup, and consider a 3700x. Or I could hold off until the next generation releases and apply the same plan for the 5000 series.

My brother is getting one, it's better to purchase two so that one isn't canceled. Yeah, I think that's a good idea—it's always safer to get two to ensure he gets one. I want one, but I probably won't be able to buy one since I already have a 3700X.

Following AMD's previous launch schedule, the latest Threadripper processors typically arrive roughly four to six months after their Desktop counterparts.

Considering an R5 3600 for another configuration, and possibly upgrading to an R5 5600 later.
