Running at low speeds can cause underclocking issues.
Your i7 10750h is struggling with high usage during gaming, causing throttling to lower speeds like 3.0GHz or 2.6GHz. The issue seems linked to power management settings. Switching between your monitor and laptop display temporarily affects performance, but the core problem is likely in the BIOS/UEFI or thermal controls. The low voltage setting of 8.0W might be too restrictive for sustained gaming. Consider checking BIOS updates, adjusting thermal limits, or ensuring proper cooling to resolve the instability.
Which laptop are you using? Several powerful models face significant throttling issues, including power and thermal limits. Manufacturers employ various throttling techniques. It's time to explore ThrottleStop. Please share many screenshots if you'd like assistance.
Yeah, the throttle stop settings work well with the cooling system.
It looks like your system is actively handling tasks. The average 8.3% in C0 state suggests some workload. An idle Windows 10 machine isn’t using much time there. Enable the Log File option and test it out. Check the logs for any power or thermal restrictions. Feel free to share a log file for further review.
Well I guess I cant play fh4 BUT I found the issue. If I unplug the hdmi from my monitor and just go without a monitor it runs perfectly fine. Is there a way to fix this
And huh maybe this is an issue (I know I shouldnt disable it but it initiates to early (at 85c) and downclocks to 1.2-0.8
BD PROCHOT isn't about CPU temperature. Another sensor is sending a throttling message to your CPU. Turning this off won't stop throttling if your CPU ever gets too hot. Your laptop is configured for thermal throttle at 100°C, which matches Intel's standard.
