For sure and a good reason to worry. However, I can't help but think that it also might be a tad exaggerated. Social media (and me) has a tedency "to cry wolf".

The PCIE slot provides 75W total across 3.3V and 12V, with a maximum of 66W for the 12V side. The temperature should stay within ambient plus 30°C, but at around 75°C due to heat from the GPU in a tight space. If the connector pin reaches 105°C after 30°C rise from current flow, it will fail within 168 hours. This shows a poor design.
