It seems the distinction between single-player and multiplayer content might be unclear. This issue could likely be resolved with a future update.

Dude it's fine. If people cracked it once they WILL do it again. Give them a few days. Rockstar will probably patch it again too. Then people will crack it. It is an endless battle Rockstar will loose in the end and should never have been started.

It would help to understand how letting mods in multiplayer games might lead to problems, while single-player mods seem less problematic if they aren't shared.

or a rockstar could provide us with dedicated servers where modifications are permitted and prevent players from joining rockstar-run servers that include mods.

In any case, Rockstar wouldn't be affected by mods that provide them with an overwhelming edge.

I filed a claim with Rockstar Support about losing over a million dollars in my car. I shared photos of my garage to show they weren’t entirely wrong, but they didn’t respond, so the ticket got closed automatically. Thanks for the quick support!

I'm really upset because only those who moved from the console to PC can get the Dukes car as their personal ride. Honestly, that's the only car I really wanted in the whole game... you guys don't get it.

By "ban" they refer to restricting your access, either through the multiplayer feature or by completely disabling your rights to play. If it's the former, they likely believe mods could interfere with online play, which is understandable. If it's the latter, you can still enjoy single-player mode and modify the game as desired. You've invested in the game, so you should be allowed to play solo and customize it. Modding single-player titles is fine, but avoid games that are always online—consider disabling online access if you plan to play. GTA V is an example, as it requires internet connectivity for certain features.
