Hey everyone, it seems Windows has stopped recognizing my external hard drive as a file history device. I'm confused about why. Do you have any suggestions on how to get it working again? I've missed out on backups for a few months now and it's making me worried. Thanks, John

Use manual drag-and-drop or create a script for it.

However, this won't protect your Windows files or program files; it will only safeguard your documents. A script might be an option. Alternatively, you could use a cloning tool to copy your hard drive as it is, though I'd consult another person as I haven't done this before.

You're asking how to manually move files while excluding certain types like Windows files or program files. It seems you're curious about the process and its limitations. Let me clarify!

On my personal machine, installing required files demanded admin rights, while system files required elevated access.
