The issue is that I can't establish any internet connection to refresh the update. Using a USB adapter shows missing dependencies during an apt upgrade.

I own a TP Link TL-WN722N. It's typically for laptops that can't enter monitor mode, but I'm using it now. The interface attempts and fails, indicating there are 4 broken packages.

Did the USB adapter come off? I believe the router is at 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.254. Does it function properly when plugged in?

The adapter was removed from power. It remains linked but fails to function. Adjusting the DNS in resolve.conf manually to 1.1.1.1 from the default 127.0.0.53 resolves the issue. No further action needed otherwise.
