Resetting GPU core or memory clock adjustments during testing
I'm attempting to boost the performance of my Sapphire Nitro R9 390 by overclocking it, but encountering an unusual problem.
You need to adjust the voltage properly, some users can achieve stable readings of R90 up to 1200/1500 by fine-tuning the voltage. The system automatically resets the voltage as a safety feature, probably intended as a failsafe. It's best to increase the voltage gradually, starting from 1050 and moving step by step until you find the optimal setting.
I've turned on/off that setting and my preferences still aren't holding. Sam, I understand that adding +10 MHz won't give a big boost. The main issue is that any adjustments to the stock clock will reset back to the default, which is why I chose a small change here. I'm skipping the part about how much FPS improves with each speed increase since it's not very reliable.
Do you have AMD overdrive turned on? Also, verify your card's configuration to identify any potential issues.
