I'm running at 60 FPS in the hangar using my R9 290 with 2500k on high graphics settings. Just started testing and noticed the GPU memory hitting around 3200MB max.

I'm facing the same problem even with extra VRAM and CPU cores. I believe it might be related to background processes or Windows 8.1.

I'm still using version 7. Maybe I'll switch to 10 if it's available for free.

Reflections on my old i7-940 (converted to 3.5mm) and the GTX 760 (2 GB). Running medium-high settings at 1080p should keep things around 60 fps, but pushing it high could bring it down to 30-45 fps.

Check if your GPU is reaching full VRAM capacity. If not, you could consider upgrading to something like an 8GB R9 290 just for that reason.
