Hello, your question is clear. The system needs are important to discuss. Yes, the game is quite demanding on the CPU due to the large number of ships and asteroids moving around. For the GPU, you're considering R9 270x or a 970, but keep in mind new models will be released later. You're wondering if your current setup can achieve 60 FPS at 1080p on ultra settings. Regarding the CPU, you're planning to use newer Intel processors, with a budget around $350, which should be sufficient. Thank you for your inquiry.

They might act strangely if you push it too far. It's still too soon to give a clear answer.

It's clear you're concerned about performance. Using a separate SSD would significantly improve loading speeds, especially since the game is quite large at around 100GB.

I’d choose a 970 if I were you and had an i5. I’ll be refreshing by the end of the year, and the 970 should arrive by March at the earliest. I’ll keep you updated.

This will be a great improvement over the 270!

I have a system that handles the latest release smoothly with full performance. My setup includes an i7-4790k processor and a GTX 780 graphics card, both running at their standard speeds.

It works well with graphics, and at lower or medium levels it looks great without lag on a 40-inch display.

It seems the visual quality doesn't vary much, just a small 3% change from low to very high settings. My Strix 970 is handling the 1200p display well at 58 frames per second, so everything should work smoothly.

They claim the game won't expand significantly. Much data will be saved on their servers, and assets will be more compressed without losing quality. The installation size should likely be around 65GB.
