Currently, using an SSD doesn't seem beneficial for this game. The loading times measured on both HDD and SSD are identical, yet the game remains slow.

I'm waiting to buy a 120GB SSD for SC once it drops the price.

I plan to purchase an additional SSD soon and will continue using my existing one for storage needs.

It actually saves me around 20 seconds, though the overall game speed still suffers. It runs slower than a 4690k +SSD by roughly 10 seconds and a bit more on a HDD. Still, compared to an SSD, it's not much better, and performance drops even more on a dedicated one. Honestly, the load times aren't too bad—only when the game freezes for about 15 seconds do things seem to crash.

AMD R9 290 and GeForce 780 deliver excellent performance. Even at 770 and 280x, you won’t have to worry about too low frame rates.

I believe setting the 770 and 280x to lower values would maintain smooth performance. On my 780, running it at maximum yields only 60 frames.

Running on 780Ti, performance stays solid until wave 11 when traffic spikes. After that, frame rates drop and I’m not sure if it’s the low VRAM (just 3GB) or the CPU hitting its limit (around 4.77GHz).

I didn't see any noticeable drops in frame rate at 11. I'm using a 780 and a 4790k; performance might improve as I go higher. I also have 16GB RAM on an SSD, which could help. Are there any background programs you're running?

It has a limit? Fun Fact: I found out the Aurora uses 20% more of my 8350 then the mustang.
