Are there any motherboards that include two USB 3.0 ports? With your setup having four 3.0 ports on the front panel and additional wires, you're looking for a board that has two headers available. I've already checked M.2 cards and splitter cables without success.

They offer motherboards, but using a USB 3.0 PCIe card is an option. Since they include a controller, it should function properly.

I've discovered most of them use x4 PCIe. To handle it correctly, I'd need a USB 3.1 Gen 2 device and an adapter.

Many of the recent updates were quickly phased out. USB 3.0 evolved into USB 3.1 gen1, which likely should have been USB 3.1 or even USB 4, but instead became USB 3.1 gen2 or USB 3.1x2. The naming system for USB has significant issues. You might need adapters to work around these changes, but they’re affordable, widely available, and don’t significantly impact performance. USB 3.1 gen2 is essentially USB 3.0 with some connections removed.

It seems the previous solution didn't succeed. Even after connecting, only two USB ports were functional out of four. Now I'm considering a PCIe card, which would be more expensive.

You're currently using a motherboard that supports USB 3.0 splitters. These devices divide the connection into two ports, which is functional but limits you to using two devices simultaneously.

I'm aiming for a dual spitting configuration so I can possibly have four ports on the front of my case. Usually a USB 3.0 header splitter uses two pins for one pin, and it won’t function properly if you attempt to connect more than two USB ports. Also, I didn’t realize you were referring to your motherboard. I believe I located the internal USB header compatible with Gen 3 PCIe x1. I've encountered similar issues before—they operate in the x4 port, which could reduce performance. I'm currently using the USB-C connector, so that's not feasible. I discovered a model that uses the x16 slot, but it requires an adapter from USB-C to USB 3.0.
