Updating the BIOS to enable Zen 3 might result in losing support for older Zen 2 processors, and reverting it isn't straightforward—you could replace the chip with a new one and install an older BIOS version. As a consequence, some users might need to complete a specific procedure (like confirming they have a Zen 3 CPU) or motherboard manufacturers may not offer these updates at all.
