Hello, I'm working on upgrading my PC. The budget is roughly 530 USD. A year ago, upgrade options weren<|pad|>, which made it hard to plan for future changes. I'm getting a BOL A520M MSCI board and a 500W PSU, but the AMD cooler is from poor stock. I fear more than half of the system will need replacement. I hope I can recoup some value. Regarding selling parts, should I rebuild a new PC using my old components or just sell them separately? I can provide more details if you'd like. Also, my birthday is coming up and I might need about 150 USD extra—should I wait or act now? What should I do?
AMD Ryzen 5 4500 GIGABYTE RX 6500XT with 4GB DDR4 Kingston 3600Mhz, 2x8GB AMD Wraith Stealth FSP HydroK Pro 500W MSI a520m A Pro Team MP33 512GB M2 NVMe Adata XPG case (best price available) featuring a sticker bomb design.
You need a new motherboard because it will accommodate the 5000 series with a BIOS upgrade. A 500W power supply should be sufficient for the new CPU. For cooling, consider a phantom cooler for around 35 dollars.
