Hello, I'm working on upgrading my PC. The budget is roughly 530 USD. A year ago, upgrade options weren<|pad|>, which made it hard to plan for future changes. I'm getting a BOL A520M MSCI board and a 500W PSU, but the AMD cooler is from poor stock. I fear more than half of the system will need replacement. I hope I can recoup some value. Regarding selling parts, should I rebuild a new PC using my old components or just sell them separately? I can provide more details if you'd like. Also, my birthday is coming up and I might need about 150 USD extra—should I wait or act now? What should I do?

I’d likely buy a 5700x3d for $225, then allocate the remaining funds to another used GPU.

I’m looking for something better—could you confirm if you’ve seen the rest? I need a fresh GPU, PSU, and cooler that stand out.

You need a new motherboard because it will accommodate the 5000 series with a BIOS upgrade. A 500W power supply should be sufficient for the new CPU. For cooling, consider a phantom cooler for around 35 dollars.

It's really the graphics card that's causing issues. This card has terrible power supply connections, which would be a problem.

Fair, but if you want everything improved it'll exceed the 680$ you'll have after your birthday. You could upgrade the CPU, cooler, power supply, and motherboard now, then save up for a good GPU later.
