Could this still happen despite the crashes and freezes at around 40-45°C? At least based on the data from HWMonitor, which I’ve used during most of those incidents. I’m also getting the 212 EVO next Tuesday to verify this idea.

I actually succeeded in making it stable on Windows after adjusting a few settings, though it overheated afterward. I’m planning to wait for the 212 EVO release before testing further. I’m hoping it’s not damaged beyond repair, but there’s a risk. Thanks for your support!

Probability it's an old chip. Perhaps TIM has developed a crust. Delid might be able to resolve that. Still, I'm unsure if this accounts for the overall instability during startup.

Absolutely correct. It looks quite simple, but the details are worth noting. I’d prefer cooler readings, yet here he mentions raising voltage and using phrases like adjusting. Who can truly say without more context. Once you set up the H212, placing a small fan near the VRM package area should significantly improve the temperature.

Reaching 100°C isn't an issue; the system will slow instead of stopping. It looks like the CPU might be malfunctioning. There could also have been an ESD damage earlier.
