but not completely ? i am completely sure and this is MAC to PC. its not the same due to the motherboard and the way it keeps the key in memory.

It's the same procedure. Since it's a MAC, it doesn't affect anything. This is essentially MOBO or CPU switching to another MOBO/CPU—should function regardless of previous issues. Just contact MS.

If it runs smoothly from one PC to another, you possess a retail key. Home Premium is an OEM product since it's commonly found in prebuilt units.

Wow, you don't seem to understand... you can purchase OEM or retail versions. The premium home version is usually sold as an OEM because it's used on custom PCs. Ultimately, if it's OEM, it will likely need to contact the manufacturer, whereas retail might sometimes require a phone purchase.
