I tried setting up a custom filter to move all emails from @homewarescompany to a deleted folder, then activated it in my inbox. It seemed to skip the initial part and randomly deleted around 10,000 emails, most of which didn’t appear to be from that sender. The issue was similar to searching for something in your mail and getting unrelated results—just like the filter behaved unexpectedly.

Thunderbird handled the task well despite a few hiccups. It managed to remove over 2500 emails smoothly, though it took a bit longer than expected.
