Refunds via Steam
Hey there! I just got Saints Row III on my old laptop, but it’s running really slow—only about 10 fps when I’m in cars. I asked for a refund, but I’m not sure if Steam will accept it or not. Since I haven’t refunded any games before, I’m just curious about the process. Also, how long do you think it’ll take? Could I possibly get the refund today even though it’s on Sunday?
Refund likely within a short time, probably around 2 hours or 50 hours depending on the situation.
They must process the refund within three days based on the day and their workload.
You're eligible for a refund if you've played under 2 hours or owned the item for less than 15 days. Typically, the refund process takes under a day, and I've already processed more than 10 refunds.
I purchased it yesterday, but I only managed 35 minutes of playtime.
Request the refund now; you'll be prompted to uninstall it at that moment. If not, you can delete it yourself. I've only processed one refund and received my money back quickly.
Check if you should reinstall it now or wait for instructions. I haven’t been accepted yet.
If you ask for a refund, they might not request removal. Removing a game from Steam is similar to deleting the games folder in your Steam library on the computer. Since it's now 1 AM, you may need to wait until later today (12-20 hours) or until Monday, unless staff are working during that time.
