I noticed PCIe 4.0 support is available on your B450m DS3H, but I need to upgrade the BIOS. This is the first time I've changed the BIOS. What steps should I follow?

This update aims to enable PCIe 4.0 support. Unless you require it specifically, I suggest against installing a BIOS update.

Purchased a 3060 recently and opted to upgrade the BIOS rather than buying a new motherboard.

The BIOS won’t need updating for PCIe 4.0 support. Your graphics card will function well on PCIe 3.0. On the RTX 3090, the scenarios where PCIe 4.0 matters are rare. A card like the 3060 handles full PCIe 3.0 x16 slots easily. Also, consider your CPU—upgrading BIOS isn’t worth it if your processor can’t utilize PCIe 4.0.

Sure, it seems like you're using an older machine, a R5 2600. Updating might not be as crucial for you right now.

The Ryzen 5 2600 lacks PCIe 4.0 support, so it's best to wait for a CPU with that feature, such as the Ryzen 7 5800X.
