This highlights my doubts about Dell and pre-installed computer systems.
Drive your laptop with the 120GB SSD Intel 530 on the desktop: 500GB Seagate drive. The one I used is now faulty—750GB Toshiba drive. My aim was to wipe everything clean, like opening it fresh from the box, with no data left. I thought the delivery method was correct, but it didn’t work. I’m not able to insert anything. The device isn’t being recognized by my laptop; it only shows the OS drive and a CD drive.

It's ready now using Classic Shell. Because this isn't my machine, I didn't spend much time perfecting it—it was more about getting it working given the challenges from Dell and Microsoft. Right now, I still believe downgrading a pre-built desktop without Windows 8/8.1 Pro isn't feasible.
