Maybe concealed within the system, possibly as a flash memory chip.

No, I didn't go to DiskManagement to set it up as a partition.

This highlights my doubts about Dell and pre-installed computer systems.

Drive your laptop with the 120GB SSD Intel 530 on the desktop: 500GB Seagate drive. The one I used is now faulty—750GB Toshiba drive. My aim was to wipe everything clean, like opening it fresh from the box, with no data left. I thought the delivery method was correct, but it didn’t work. I’m not able to insert anything. The device isn’t being recognized by my laptop; it only shows the OS drive and a CD drive.

If the included drive still runs the operating system, the simplest option is to set up a classic shell so users stay connected to the desktop. Please note the responses so others can see your reply, or we won’t be able to track it.

I answered both of you and realized I need to quote for you so they can be informed.

It's ready now using Classic Shell. Because this isn't my machine, I didn't spend much time perfecting it—it was more about getting it working given the challenges from Dell and Microsoft. Right now, I still believe downgrading a pre-built desktop without Windows 8/8.1 Pro isn't feasible.

Check diskmgmt for the partition details; if not present, it should appear as black. Right-click the unspecified partition and create a new one. Also, verify the drive appears in Device Manager.

Only option is to lower the version once Windows 7 was set up earlier; alternatively, reformat the drive and reinstall Windows 7, though you’d miss any files not saved beforehand.
