Good evening everyone. My system has an N9 380 with 4GB RAM, and when I play GTA V I notice unusual GPU usage dips below 50% and sometimes near 10-20%, along with lag spikes. Usually the game runs smoothly at 50-60 FPS with VSync enabled, and my CPU usage isn’t at 100%. It doesn’t seem like the CPU is limiting performance. What might be causing these drops? How can I fix this issue?

For me, MSI AB was leading to poor GPU performance during GTA V playthroughs. After discontinuing its use, my frame rate increased by about 10 frames per second. Apart from that, I’ve noticed GTA V has been quite problematic since the latest update, as reported by many users.

Obtaining an earlier version of the game can eliminate stability problems.

Has "Ill Gotten Gains Part 2" been successfully set up? Many users reported it caused significant slowdowns on their systems.

The update is indeed 1.28, not 1.27. The issues you're experiencing are likely related to GPU performance fluctuations.

In other games the GPU stays around 100% usage with smooth performance, but in GTA V I I often see drops from 100 to 1 GPU, along with core speed issues and stutters in certain areas.

I don’t have access to a complete list of hardware specifications or graphic settings. Could you provide the details you need or clarify which system you’re referring to?
