So after extensive troubleshooting, the CPU indicator remains red despite updating the BIOS and installing the correct motherboard. I’ve checked everything: removed RAM, waited a while, reset CMOS, replaced battery, double-checked connections, and even tried different power configurations. Still no boot. The issue persists even when I power on via the PSU instead of the case button. I suspect something might be wrong with the wiring or the CPU itself. I’m really unsure what’s going on and need advice.

Have you considered changing the other RAM module? It's possible the device you used might not be working properly.

It seems this setup might be a fresh installation. At first glance, it could be worth verifying the front panel header connections. Errors here are common. NOTE: Sharing detailed specs will assist in identifying other potential issues. 5000-ready indicates compatibility with the board, though not necessarily with the installed BIOS. An update might resolve this, often it does. However, certain boards let you update or flashback via a button on the rear I/O panel, enabling changes without a CPU. As suggested by NF, consider testing with RAM in stages—switch one stick at a time to confirm proper placement. Some boards have rearranged DIMM slots, so consult the manual. Ryzens and their compatible boards can be unpredictable regarding RAM support, and certain kits may offer less stability on specific boards. It’s wise to cross-check your RAM model against the QVL for your board and processor type (5000). With Ryzen, this is significant; I’ve noticed two kits with identical timings, voltages, and speeds performing differently in the same build. The only difference was one appeared on the QVL while the other didn’t. Missing a kit from the QVL doesn’t guarantee it won’t work, but stability can’t be assured. I’ve also seen some unusual instances where QVL suggested a particular kit for one series but not another (acceptable for 3000-series, but not for 5000). Don’t depend solely on Pangoly or the manufacturer’s recommendations. Check the board manufacturer’s website using your board model and processor series. This process is generally straightforward—just search your board’s make/model with RAM compatibility on Google. Updated: December 2, 2022 by An0maly_76 Added more details

I notice several points needing attention here. Your CPU lacks an integrated graphics unit—your monitor must connect directly to the graphics card, not through the motherboard slot. That signal is exclusive to CPUs with an IGPU. Regarding the power button, double-check your motherboard headers and ensure proper connection to the correct pins. To confirm—do you have your boot CPU from AMD installed in this setup? Is the 8-pin power connector at the top of the board properly connected? Also, keep in mind that for optimal performance, neighboring sticks should be placed in separate memory channels, leaving space between them.

The QVL references the 5500 model but its design (Cezanne) isn't shown in the RAM compatibility sections. Since it's essentially a Zen3 (often Vermeer), I checked the Vermeer list, but the RAM part number is required to confirm fit. You can find more details on the Support page for this board at Gigabyte's site: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B45...support#dl.

Additionally, the off-brand storage might be a concern, though RAM issues seem more common than storage problems.

I've connected the HDMI cable to the graphics card, but the display remains blank with only a brief black screen before it drops completely. The CPU from AMD is installed successfully.

The graphics card is connected via the card slot. The motherboard display won't show any information. Regarding the CPU power connector, it's present at the top of the board and appears blue in the diagram below—confirm it's securely attached. For dual-channel RAM, ensure you're using the correct slots as indicated.

It's connected to the 8-pin port, and I'll attempt it once more when I can load the RAM into those slots.

Reviewing the NVMe SSD M.2 2280 support details for your motherboard, it seems the brand isn’t listed there. This strongly suggests the storage component itself is responsible. Based on a video you recorded showing the device powering up with both CPU and right-side LED solid red, now only the CPU LED remains active.
