Hello, i'm not a super techy guy when it comes to bios stuff in general but i updated my Asus Prime X670E-PRO WiFi bios today to the newest 1413 update which quote on quote limits " SoC voltage for Ryzen 7000X3D series limited to a maximum of 1.30V to protect the CPU and motherboard." - im 100% unable to run bios for more than 2 minutes with AMD EXPO enabled and it completely refuses to boot into windows without AMD EXPO disabled, my question is, are there any ways to circumvent this and have my AMD EXPO working again or am i just screwed? i'm using Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR5 6000MHz 64GB (2x 32gb sticks) i have noticed they removed all older bioses except for 1409 which states the following: "1. Update AGESA version to ComboAM5PI 1.0.0.6 2. TPM 2.0 security update 3. Recommended for optimum performance with AMD Ryzen™ 7000X3D series processors 4. Implement thermal monitoring mechanisms to help protect the CPU and motherboard. Also, the older BIOSes with manual Vcore control were removed Before running the USB BIOS Flashback tool, please rename the BIOS file (PX670ERW.CAP) using BIOSRenamer." Should i try flashing into that bios and rerun the test with AMD EXPO? im at a loss here, if anyone has any ideas please let me know EDIT: not sure if this will help in anyway but here's a list of my full specs Case: Phantek Eclipse P500 Air Mesh (Black) GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GAMING X TRIO CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D 12-Core RAM: Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR5 6000MHz 64GB Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X670E-PRO WIFI Power Supply: ASUS ROG Strix 1000w PSU Storage1: Samsung 960 EVO 500GB M.2 PCIe SSD Storage2: Kingston A2000 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD Storage3: Samsung 870 QVO 2.5'' SSD 4TB another side note: computer was running just fine before the update, no issues whatsoever heat wise or anything, CPU had small ramp ups of heat every now and then but not for an extended period of time.

I wouldn't suggest lowering the BIOS to an older release since recent reports indicate you should keep the latest version active for a 7000 X3D series CPU. Your memory's EXPO configuration might not fully match the hardware. In the Ai Tweaker interface, beside the Ai Overclock tuner, if multiple EXPO options exist, activate the additional one.

I'll try it and let you know how it goes. I have three options available. Right now, the setup is at 1.25v 5600mhz, and it seems stable so far. But I'm still missing about 400mhz that should be present.

It's not advisable to run such powerful systems without proper precautions. The high power consumption can cause significant heat buildup and electrical stress, potentially leading to hardware damage or safety hazards over time.

Consider executing prime95 with Blend/Large FFT for roughly ten minutes, ensuring AVX is turned off. Choose the most consistent result. The 400MHz loss isn't significant when contrasted with the performance of a 7900X3D in this scenario.

This appears to be the sole option, so the others seem questionable.

The setup keeps the system in BIOS for extended periods when using the specified profiles, which prevents it from fully booting. Whether you can still use Prime95 depends on your needs—if you require a full Windows environment, stick with the 6000MHz profile. Otherwise, the 5600MHz profile might suffice for testing purposes.

verify stability by using a different tool if you don’t prefer prime 95
