to address the ram ddr3 and ddr4 bandwidth, it's much larger, and this applies to ddr5 as well.
DRAM, DDR, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, DDR5

generally, the higher the bandwidth, the better, though it really depends on the programs being used.

I was suggesting that measuring the variation in gaming performance among DDR3, DDR4, and DDR5 would be difficult since no processor supports all three memory versions.

We only have the information you give us. We noticed an FX-8350 with a 2080 Super, which is quite unusual, and then you asked us to rate your rig.
After that, you mentioned you intend to modify some parts of the build.
Then you told us you own a 750 Ti and recently upgraded to the 2080 Super.
It’s difficult to offer helpful feedback when you share details gradually, like a long mystery film. It would be much better and more useful if you provided everything at once.

which titles you're enjoying and whether a 2060 super at 1440p could work for them. 8GB of VRAM is just enough for 1080p low in some games, let alone 1440p.

I believe RAM size is more important than speed, but I’d like to compare identical capacity sets differing only in speed to observe performance variations during gaming.

I've been playing Hogwarts Legacy and Jedi Survivor with minimal issues on 1440p. Hogwarts performed well at 1440p, medium settings worked fine, shadows were low and textures were high, occasionally dropping to 50 frames but nothing out of the ordinary. Jedi Survivor also ran smoothly, mostly at high and medium settings.

Interesting. Jedi Survivor pre-launch was experiencing issues with 21GB of VRAM on a 4090, but performance has significantly improved. It's unlikely your 2060 Super would run it smoothly at 1440p lowest, as your RX 6800 is about 71% faster and achieves around 90 fps at 1440p ultra. At that point, you'd likely need to lower settings to reach 60 fps, and only then would it be worth using at full resolution. I'm not suggesting you're wrong, but it seems quite challenging to accept.

All the FX models were simply poor; they never truly surpassed the older AMD Phenom II X4 970.
Yes, with my regular 2080 graphics card, the 1440p monitor works perfectly.

i was testing it on the third day of launch and also for Hogwarts Legacy. with Jedi Survivor i encountered a bug in the unreal engine that led to crashes and memory dump errors, no matter what settings i adjusted like 1080p. for Hogwarts Legacy it requires a minimum of 32gb ram to function properly, and i was seeing over 16gb in some parts of the map.
