Hello, I've switched my CPU from a 3500 to a 5700X and am facing an issue with RAM speed limits. My system shuts down automatically when starting a game unless it powers off itself. Here are my details: Ryzen 7 5700X RTX 4060, 16GB 3200MHZ MSI A650BN, KLEVV 512 M.2 NVME SSD. Do you have similar problems?

No, I haven't checked the BIOS yet. Would you like me to do it now?

Which motherboard are you using? It supports over 2133MHz when paired with the 5700X.

I'll refine the text for better clarity. I own a B450M-HDV from AsRock.

I'm testing a 5700X on an MSI b450M with DDR4-3200 and everything seems fine at first. Your motherboard lists support for both the 5700X CPU and 3200 MT/s RAM per the specs. I haven't noticed any problems right away. When you upgrade the CPU, did you reinstall Windows? Keeping the same installation might cause issues later. Windows tends to remember its hardware and can sometimes have hiccups with new components. Let me know if you need further help.

The OS shouldn't affect RAM speed. I recommend testing it gradually. Adjust the RAM to 2666 MT/s or 3000 MT/s and check performance.

It may affect system stability when running at that speed. Still, performing a new installation with major updates is a solid approach.

Attempted manual adjustment to 3000MT/s but PC fails to boot. After taking out both RAM modules, discovered one stays below 2666MT/s. Determine if it's a RAM limitation or a CPU-related issue.

Sorry about the delay, but I won’t be able to perform a fresh installation at the moment. I’ll try again in a few weeks. Appreciate the guidance!
