RAM limit stays at 2133 after upgrading the CPU
Running the RAM at 3200 MHz with the 3500 installed likely points to an issue. It might be a faulty CPU capped around 2666 MHz, or the motherboard could be outdated (the B450 model is quite basic). The extra power consumption from the 5700X might exceed its VRM capacity—just an educated guess.
I tested the RAM at 3200 with my 3500, but it doesn’t work that way—this particular stick can’t reach 3200 while the other one does.
Added to the discussion: I successfully increased the RAM speed to 3200Mhz by adjusting the voltage to 1.35V, but the system now shuts down unexpectedly during gaming sessions.
Unstable. Consider increasing the voltage or reducing the MHz when using FX 3000 at the existing voltage.
What BIOS version do you have installed? Consider updating to 7.20, then to 10.12. Have you downloaded the chipset drivers from AMD? Did you apply DOCP settings or adjust the timings manually?
