I'm sure there are only a few options. Most of it uses stored memory, try turning off Norton (unless you already have Windows Defender) and restart the computer, making sure Norton doesn't start up again. If that doesn't help, reseat the RAM and if it still fails, it might be defective. As a last resort, reinstall Windows.

Have you considered trying a different RAM? Perhaps you could lend it to another computer?
