I began at 1.20V and increased it in steps of 0.05V until the system stabilized. This setup is an MSI Gaming Pro Carbon X470 motherboard (overclocked, I understand).

Not too extreme—just not the most powerful overclocker in that price bracket. Good value for its class, though not the top choice available. A reliable mid-range option.

Silicon lottery makes sense. The motherboard could be involved too. I'm capable of running 4.2 across all cores at 1.2V. The main benefit of lower voltage is reduced heat, which means less power usage. Gaming performance isn't great compared to F@H or benchmarks. Regarding silicon lottery, my wife and I have the same 5700xt chips. She experienced a strange issue last night, so I tested her card this morning. I achieved 2150mhz at 1.175V and memory reached 1875mhz. My system crashes when voltage exceeds max, especially if clocks surpass around 1950, and my memory stays below 1850. Her chip runs well even at stock speeds. I haven't checked stability yet, but it's definitely a concern.

On the Radeon 5700XT, running at full capacity works fine—just be cautious. The card manages itself quite well. These chips don’t offer much overclocking opportunity... so you won’t need to lower voltages unless you’re using a high-end aftermarket board.
