Check if your pump is operating correctly. How much thermal paste did you apply? This cooler should suffice for a 3600 model when functioning properly. I own a 3600 paired with an EVGA CLC 240, and it runs smoothly between 28-32°C. During stress tests it reaches up to 68-70°C with a 4.4GHz OC, while gaming loads stay around 50°C. You can adjust the BIOS to set the pump and CPU fan at full speed to confirm operation. Temporarily disconnecting the CPU fan might help verify pump activity. Another option is exchanging coolers with a neighbor if you share a residence and compare outcomes.

It's the final stage of testing, though I completed the stress test just before. The maximum temperature reached was 106 degrees.

Check if the fans are moving and if the pump is operating. If they’re not working, the cooler mount might be loose. It could also be due to insufficient thermal paste on certain parts.

There’s clearly something happening. I’d consider exchanging coolers with your brother because they’re identical. If temperatures remain consistent afterward, it’s not the cooler that’s the issue. If they drop, then the cooler is likely the problem. That’s the simplest test to run. Are you running the system at higher voltage? I notice the maximum CPU package power is 124W, which is significantly higher than a standard 3600.

The boost clock runs at normal speed without any overclocking. I typically see about 80 watts during a stress test; I don’t know what caused this change.

If he’s a supportive sibling he’ll assist you! Be careful not to overuse thermal paste. Sorry if this isn’t clear, but it’s not widely known. The video covers several techniques, and I favor the single-dot approach around the 2:30 point.
