Hey!
I was going through a long story and felt stuck with no choices. Around April, I attempted to uninstall Overwatch 2 because a file became corrupted. At that time, I had a preinstalled noname M.2 SSD, and I reinstalled Windows multiple times—once it just stopped working.

I figured I’d switch to my secondary SSD, a Samsung 870 EVO. It seemed like the issues disappeared, but then they returned periodically, like persistent pests. Basically:
The system works well for days or weeks, then suddenly it hits maximum disk usage, causing massive lag and freezing spikes. I’d try reseating any component—maybe RAM, SSD, GPU—and it would work temporarily. Eventually, problems return.

I’ve tried everything: SysMain disabled, BIOS update, driver updates, reinstalled Windows several times with different installers and ISO files, used three different SSDs, applied new thermal paste (which helped the longest), and even changed the power supply. Still nothing.

Now I’m worried about two bad SSDs at once. The corrupt file wasn’t on that SSD, but the crystal disk shows a health score of 99%. I’m planning to order a new SSD next week and hope for the best. In the meantime, I’ll try to help a brother out.

When this occurs open Task Manager. Review the list and you should likely identify what is consuming your hard drive space.

Don't assume two SSDs failing simultaneously is normal. Unexpected occurrences are possible. Have you reviewed the Event Viewer 'System' logs? Any warning messages should be examined. If your DDR4 RAM is running at 3,000MT/s, consider turning off XMP in the BIOS and returning to 2,133 or 2,400MT/s settings. This adjustment could enhance system reliability. Ensure a faulty DIMM isn't the issue by performing MemTest86+ using a USB drive. Additionally, conducting a comprehensive surface scan on the remaining SSD with a hard disk test tool would be wise.

The amount of available space on the SSD is minimal. It may significantly slow down when full. Examine running processes that cause 100% disk usage. Possible culprits include some system services such as indexing, defragmentation, drive optimization, Windows updates, or Windows Defender. Keep Sysmain unchanged.

The SSD has a capacity of 1 terabyte, with 620 gigabytes available. I'm using Windows 11.

I checked Event Viewer and noticed the errors match perfectly each time. It's 2:56 PM; I was struggling until around 3:30 AM, and the timing checks out.

Also, these are just the actual errors—warnings seem much more intense lately.

install hard disk sentinel and check its health. Determine the number of weak sectors present.

I just completed that task, precisely zero. Likewise, the Samsung Magician worked the same way—I also used a Samsung SSD and tried the program.

There are no weak and bad sectors detected. It is still advised to install an HDD regenerator and follow the online instructions to identify and eliminate bad sectors from a flash drive.
