Question Random stutters without any fps drops after a day of achieving the best overclock
Hey everyone, I was running my PC overclocked for around eight hours straight, testing and playing games. Then suddenly modern warfare and Battlefield 1 started stuttering without any FPS drops. It made the game unplayable, and even resetting everything back to defaults only slightly helped. The issue still exists. Recently, after a stable and safe overclock, it improved a bit but remained problematic. I also noticed an electronic noise coming from my PC while it was loading. I’m really unsure what to do next...
The CMOS reset didn't help, but after giving the PC time to rest, the stutter improved a bit. Probably something was damaged during the restart and reconfiguration... Ugh.
Test your 2080ti on the market. You should determine the source of the electronic noise. Likely it's related to the coil whine.
i thought it might be related to my gpu, but it's always running at stock and never had issues before. i plan to replace some parts on friday when i have time. i worry that my mobo can't provide enough power to keep the pc running and that i damaged it during this long session...
I noticed my computer is starting more slowly, I think this isn't due to the graphics card, maybe the RAM was damaged? Or perhaps the CPU is the issue... It happens especially in Battlefield 1 and Modern Warfare... I don’t even know how to fix it this way.
