Question: Lighting Strike affected my computer.
The second monitor i tried was an old 1 i had in the garage. So the monitor and cable works fine it seems. The GPU is built into the AMD chip. so no standalone GPU
I experienced a strike a few years back. The consequences and failure modes were diverse and completely unexpected.
Currently the PC is functioning similarly. I’d consider purchasing or opting to borrow a GPU like KingLoki’s suggestion. You mentioned the PC boots but doesn’t display any video. If the issue is in the motherboard’s video port, a GPU could work around it and extend the system’s life. Do you have a TV available to check if the motherboard’s video output is working?
If you restore the PC and a strong lightning strike occurs near enough to impact your system, it’s probable that parts have been damaged and possibly failed.
I’d begin preparing for a new PC and ensure all important data is protected—use an external drive or thumb drive, make backups, and keep everything secure.
