Some boards were DDR3, compatible with Skylake. OP suggests not spending money on that setup. It's time to upgrade. Need a new CPU, motherboard, RAM, and cooler.

The game performs poorly even on the latest systems. You'll require a more powerful PC with upgraded components. A M.2 drive, updated motherboard, and DDR4 RAM won't significantly improve things.

I bought two 8gb drives for 40€. Probably this will be the final upgrade for this build, unless I get a bigger SSD. I think it will last a few more years before I pass it on to my younger brother or son someday. My goal is at least better performance, but having 16gb of RAM is still a good idea in my opinion. I really hope for the best, xD. I just want to finish Hogwarts without the stutters when I can't dodge or wait for the map to load. I’ll also try to clean the SSD so I can move the game there.

I recently purchased 16gb ram and noticed the game runs smoothly without any stuttering. Thank you all for your assistance—I wouldn’t recommend that ram improving performance in this way.

The RAM quantity indeed matters, which is why I recommended it:

I could choose either an upgrade or a refund.
